ELIZA BRYANT VILLAGE, ESTABLISHED IN 1896 AS THE CLEVELAND HOME FOR AGED COLORED PEOPLE, IS A COMPREHENSIVE PROVIDER OF GERIATRIC SERVICES INCLUDING SKILLED NURSING CARE AND OUTPATIENT THERAPY. IT IS LOCATED IN A FEDERALLY DESIGNATED "EMPOWERMENT ZONE, IF THE MINIMUM OCCUPANCY STANDARD REQUIRED IS MET, WILL QUALIFY AS A "CRITICAL ACCESS FACILITY" WITHIN THE STATE OF OHIO. EACH YEAR ELIZA BRYANT VILLAGE PROVIDES OVER A MILLION DOLLARS IN COMMUNITY BENEFIT TO THE SENIORS IT SERVES.

ELIZA BRYANT VILLAGE OFFERS SPECIFICALLY TAILORED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO ASSIST SENIORS WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITEIS THAT HELP MAINTAIN INDEPENDENCE, PROMOTE FEELINGS OF SELF-WORTH AND HELP AGING LOVED ONES STAY IN THEIR HOME LONGER. OUR UNIQUE ENHANCED MEDICAL MODEL PROGRAM TAILORS SERVICES TO SENIORS WITH COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS THROUGH DAILY ENRICHMENT SERVICES. THE MEDICAL MODEL PROGRAM INCLUDES TRADITIONAL SERVICES SUCH AS SOCIAL SERVICE, ACTIVITIES AND CRAFTS AND ALSO INCLUDES CRITICAL MEDICAL SKILLED SERVICES FROM NURSES, THERAPISTS, SOCIAL WORKERS, TRAINED DEMENTIA STAFF AND GERIATRIC PHYSICIANS.

The Eliza Bryant Village Elder Justice Center provides a temporary safe space for the growing population of older adults suffering from abuse, trauma, violence, or criminal victimization. We work with various community partners to ensure clients return to safe, permanent housing by connecting guests and their families to legal, financial, and social service supports. This new program directly responds to the increase of elder abuse that so many seniors experience, both locally and nationally. The new Elder Justice Center is the only provider of these unique and desperately needed services in Ohio.
