Organizations Filed Purposes: PHASTAR CORP. IS A 501(C)3 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT CURRENTLY INCLUDES THREE AREAS OF OPERATION: EDUCATION, AEROSPACE AND MARITIME. EACH OPERATION STRIVES TO MEET PHASTAR'S OVERALL MISSION OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION AND PUBLIC SERVICES IN NORTHEAST OHIO.

EDUCATION:THE DAVIS AEROSPACE & MARITIME MISSION IS TO ENGAGE KIDS THROUGH A PERSONALIZED, CHALLENGING CURRICULUM WITH REAL-WORLD CONNECTIONS, INTERNSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS, AND ANYTIME-ANYWHERE LEARNING, SO THEY BELIEVE IN THEIR ABILITIES, EXPLORE NEW OPPORTUNITIES, AND CHART THEIR OWN COURSE.PHASTAR CORP. WORKED VERY HARD FOR MANY YEARS TO BRING AN AEROSPACE AND MARITIME HIGH SCHOOL TO CLEVELAND, AND IN JULY 2017 OPENED THE DOORS OF DAVIS AEROSPACE & MARITIME HIGH SCHOOL (DAVIS A&M) FOR ITS INAUGURAL 9TH GRADE CLASS OF ROUGHLY 60 STUDENTS. DAVIS A&M IS A UNIQUE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN PHASTAR AND THE CLEVELAND METROPOLITAN SCHOOL DISTRICT. CMSD PROVIDES THE CORE CURRICULUM, WHILE PHASTAR BRINGS IN THE SPECIALIZED AEROSPACE AND MARITIME CURRICULUM AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS. 10TH GRADE WAS ADDED FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR, AND 11TH GRADE WAS ADDED FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR. 12TH GRADE WILL BE ADDED IN 2020-2021, AT WHICH POINT THE SCHOOL WILL OFFER A FULL 9TH THROUGH 12TH GRADE CURRICULUM. BEING THE ONLY AEROSPACE AND MARITIME HIGH SCHOOL IN THE STATE OF OHIO AND THE COUNTRY, DAVIS A&M IS A UNIQUE ATTRACTION IN PUBLIC EDUCATION. THE SCHOOL HAS GENERATED A LOT OF INTEREST AND HAS MET OR SURPASSED ALL OF ITS GOALS FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF OPERATION.AEROSPACE:PHASTAR OFFERS A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS THAT OFFER PEOPLE OF ALL AGES OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN MORE ABOUT AVIATION, AND OPERATES THE DISCOVER AVIATION CENTER OUT OF THE LORAIN COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT IN ELYRIA, OHIO. THE DISCOVER AVIATION CENTER MISSION IS TO INTRODUCE AREA RESIDENTS, PARTICULARLY AREA YOUTH TO AVIATION RELATED CAREERS IN FUN AND ENTERTAINING WAYS THROUGH OUTREACH, EVENT PLANNING AND COLLABORATION.MARITIME:PHASTAR CORPORATION (501C3) IS CONTINUING TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE NEW PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT DAVIS AEROSPACE & MARITIME HIGH SCHOOL AND CLEVELAND'S MARITIME INDUSTRY. THESE PROGRAMS ARE IN LINE WITH PHASTAR'S LARGER INITIATIVE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION, PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY SERVICES IN NORTHEAST OHIO. OUR COMBINED BUSINESS/EDUCATION MODEL OFFERS UNIQUE LIFE EXPERIENCES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR HIGH SCHOOL, TECHNICAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION STUDENTS, IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY AND SCOPE OF LOCAL INDUSTRY, MEDICAL AND PUBLIC SAFETY SERVICES.PHASTAR MARINE PROGRAMS CURRENTLY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:MARINE SAFETY SERVICESDAVIS AEROSPACE & MARITIME HIGH SCHOOL MARITIME THEMATIC PROGRAMSFLATS EAST BANK DOCK MANAGEMENT PROGRAMRIVER COMMUNICATIONS OFFICEADAPTIVE PADDLE BOARD PROGRAMADAPTIVE BOATING PROGRAMSRIVER AMBASSADOR PROGRAMEACH OF THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDES INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR DAVIS A&M STUDENTS TO BECOME A PART OF THE MARITIME COMMUNITY WHILE GAINING EXPERIENCE AND SEA TIME.
