Scranton Rd. Ministries Community Development Corporation (SRMCDC) helps to revitalize Cleveland, one life at a time. Since 2001, SRMCDC has actively contributed to the social, economic, spiritual, and physical revitalization of Cleveland, with a focus on the near-west side.
Academic Enrichment Program- Intensive Educational Initiative providing Clevelands youth, ages 8-14, with Tutoring, Digital Literacy, and Character Training. In 2020:Served 288 participants through a portfolio of educational services- focused on math & literacy.Served 170 students in Cleveland schools, and 118 with Out-of-School Time programming.Additionally, we provided 27 students with an Academic Learning Pod, 4 days/week, in support of remote learning, and complemented with valuable enrichment services.100% of students participating in the after-school platform matriculated to the next grade.
Scranton Rd. Legal Clinic- Providing under-served Cleveland residents with critical Legal Services so they can make informed and prudent legal decisions. In 2020, we served 294 families:Provided 255 families with personalized Brief Advice services and 39 Legal Education Workshop Participants; both virtually and safely in-person.Topics for both include Probate, Family Law, Consumer Law, POAs, Expungement, Parental & Custodial, Creditor/Debtor, etc.
Scranton Rd. Promotional Marketing (SRPM)- A community-based social venture. Through the sales of high-quality, competitively priced promotional products, SRPM serves as a business and entrepreneurship training platform for local young adults, while generating sustainable income for community investment. In 2020:SRPM provided 3 students with 5 weeks of intensive business training, and 200+ students with high-level training in key business concepts (over the past 2 years).
