WATERLOO ARTS FEST - EACH YEAR WATERLOO ARTS PRESENTS OVER 300 ARTISTS, MUSICIANS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS IN AN ANNUAL SUMMER FESTIVAL THAT DRAWS 7000 ATTENDEES FROM AROUND THE REGION FOR A POSITIVE, FAMILY FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE IN THE COLLINWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD OF CLEVELAND. THE EVENT CELEBRATES THE DIVERSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR UNIQUE, WALKABLE ARTS DISTRICT WITH AN ARRAY OF MUSICAL GENRE'S PLAYED ON SIX STAGES AND A VARIETY OF INTERACTIVE, ENGAGING ARTS ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES. THE EVENT ALSO FEATURES, STREET PERFORMERS, LOCAL FOOD AND ART VENDORS AND A DISTRICT-WIDE JURIED ART EXHIBIT.
GALLERY - THE GALLERY AT WATERLOO ARTS SHOWCASES THE WORK OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS IN 7-10 EXHIBITS A YEAR. IN ADDITION TO SOLO AND SMALL GROUP EXHIBITS OF PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS, THE GALLERY HAS CURATED A NUMBER OF THEMED SHOWS, ADDRESSING TOPICS SUCH AS, TRANS IDENTITY, VIOLENCE AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR, VACANCY, AND DEPRESSION. WE ALSO PARTNER WITH THE DAYGLO COLOR CORP FOR A MUCH ANTICIPATED ANNUAL BLACK LIGHT EXHIBIT OF 30 ARTISTS WHO HAVE CREATED NEW WORK WITH FLUORESCENT PAINT. THE DAYGLOSHO IS A COMMUNITY FAVORITE FOR ALL AGES. OUR ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION DISPLAYS THE WORK OF 80-100 LOCAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL ARTISTS IN THREE GALLERIES IN OUR WALKABLE DISTRICT.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS - WATERLOO ARTS PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL ARTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY, FREE CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERTS IN THE GALLERY, PUBLIC ART AND MURAL PROJECTS, AND TOURS OF THE ARTS DISTRICT. WE ALSO PROVIDE LOW COST SPACE FOR THE CREATION OF NEW ARTWORK WITH OUR ARTIST STUDIOS AND RESIDENT PLAYWRIGHT COMPANY, PLAYWRIGHTS LOCAL.
