SERVICE TO ADULT WORKERS: JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE, ASSESSMENT TESTING, CAREER PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT, SUPPORT SERVICES, OCCUPATIONAL TESTING. THE GOAL IS TO ASSIST JOB SEEKERS TO OBTAIN AND RETAIN EMPLOYMENT IN HIGH GROWTH JOBS AND CAREERS THAT PROVIDE ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE. POPULATIONS SERVED ARE UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED JOB SEEKERS. SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT COWIC'S, OHIOMEANSJOBS, JOB CENTER AND THROUGH A NETWORK OF PARTNERS AND CONTRACT SERVICE PROVIDERS. APPOXIMATELY 707 ADULTS ENROLLED DURING THE YEAR AND RECEIVED ONE OR MORE SERVICES. THIS FIGURE IS EXCLUSIVE OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS DETERMINED TO BE INELIGIBLE THROUGH WIOA.
SERVICES TO YOUTH: YOUTH ARE SERVED THROUGH OUR NETWORK OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND CONTRACT SERVICES PROVIDERS, COWIC DEVELOPS STRATEGIES, SERVICE NETWORKS, AND POLICIES TO MAXIMIZE THE IMPACT OF WIA YOUTH FUNDING AND LOCALLY PROVIDED FUNDING. COWIC PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO SERVICE PROVIDERS TO ASSURE THAT SERVICES ARE CONSISTENT WITH AND MEET WIA STANDARDS AND PROGRAM GOALS. COWIC PARTICIPATES ON A COMMUNITY YOUTH COUNCIL TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY WIDE ISSUES. APPOXIMATELY 250 YOUTH RECEIVED
