FLOW is a non-profit organiation dedicated to keeping the Olentangy River and its tributaries clean and safe for all to enjoy, through public education, volunteer activities, and coordination with local decision makers.
Outreach and Education - GreenSpot Rainbarrel Program to promote rain harvesting and public education on stormwater impacts to our River, litter clean ups, tree plantings, pollinator gardens, public meetings, and presentations on issues that impact water quality. FLOW reaches over 1,000 people per year through our newsletter, published twice annually. Grant received in 2017 and 2018 helped continue work in 2020 on multi-year projects including Greenspace Planning and Slyh Run Bridge.
Planting and Habitat and Habitat Preservation - American Forest Council supported Weinland Park Nursery. Other Corporate grants supported planting of new trees in area of the watershed that are below average canopy coverage. Several tree planting and honeysuckle invasive species removal and litter clean up events with OSU and local neighborhood volunteer groups
