SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIVITIES, COUNCIL EVENTS, AND CAMPS BENEFIT OUR 16,107 GIRL MEMBERS. OHIO'S HEARTLAND COUNCIL OFFERED OVER 155 SEPARATE EVENTS/WORKSHOPS ATTENDED BY 3,335 GIRLS AGE 5-17 FOR THE YEAR. WITH THE PANDEMIC, COUNCIL WAS NOT ABLE TO OFFER TRADITIONAL CAMP OPPORTUNITIES TO OUR GIRLS THIS YEAR. THERE WERE, HOWEVER, TWO ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS WHICH WERE OFFERED (PRE-COVID) NOT ONLY TO OUR GIRLS, BUT, ALSO FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS. COMBINED PARTICIPATION FOR THESE TWO PROGRAMS WAS 545. 10,835 GIRLS PARTICIPATED IN OUR COOKIE PROGRAM, WITH GIRLS SELLING JUST OVER 1.9 MILLION PACKAGES OF COOKIES, RESULTING IN A PER GIRL AVERAGE OF 183 PACKAGES. OVER 60,774 PACKAGES WERE DONATED TO OPERATION SALUTE AND DELIVERED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN SERVING IN OUR MILITARY. OVER 2,644 GIRLS PARTICIPATED IN OUR FALL PRODUCT PROGRAM, SELLING OVER 79,000 NUTS AND CANDY ITEMS AND OVER 5,600 MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS. THROUGH THE PRODUCT PROGRAMS, GIRL SCOUTS LEARNED FIVE SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS IN LIFE - GOAL SEEKING, DECISION MAKING, MONEY MANAGEMENT, PEOPLE SKILLS AND BUSINESS ETHICS.

GIRL SCOUTS OF OHIO'S HEARTLAND SERVED 2,175 GIRLS IN DIVERSE COMMUNITIES THROUGH A VARIETY OF TARGETED SERIES PATHWAYS IN VARIOUS NONTRADITIONAL SETTINGS THROUGHOUT THE COUNCIL. SERIES PATHWAYS PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GIRLS TO BE INTRODUCED TO THE GIRL SCOUT EXPERIENCE THROUGH FOCUSING ON THE AREAS OF LEADERSHIP, TEAM-BUILDING, LEARNING NEW SKILLS, SELF-ESTEEM, GIRL AGGRESSION, FINANCIAL LITERACY, AND STEM.
