Organizations Filed Purposes: Dispel myths concerning homeless and hunger in the community at-large, and provide an annual day of celebration for the homeless community in Central Ohio.

The 2019 Good Neighbors Picnic for the Homeless was held September at Wolfe Park in Columbus, OH. In 2019, nearly 500 guests from the homeless community were provided coats, blankets, winter clothing, boots, socks, underwear and personal hygiene items. Good Neighbors was able to transport more than 200 individuals from local shelters to the picnic. provide more than 700 hot meals and distribute more than 150 reading glasses and cases were distributed. Guests also were entertained by local artists, while children in attendance had the opportunity to take part in activities, select books donated by local businesses and were offered free school supplies.

Good Neighbors of Central Ohio received the following in donated services, materials, equipment and facilities (with estimated fair values): Childrens activites and entertainment, $9,900; Bus transportation, $7,000; Meeting space, $1,200; storage space, $4,044; tents, $3,012; marketing $300; supplies, $350; dumpsters, $600; truck rental, $124. Total donated materials, equipment and facilities have estimated fair values of $26,530 and are not included as revenue in Part VIII, expenses in Part IX nor as a component of net assets in Part X in the core of the Organizations 990.

Good Neighbors of Central Ohio received significant amounts of donated services in its efforts to organize and run its annual picnic for the homeless. The Organization received donated services thru audience entertainment and childrens activites, marketing and promotion, accounting and legal services, and time donated by its volunteers. These contributions of donated services have an estimated value $68,806 and are not included as revenue in Part VIII, expenses in Part IX nor as a component of net assets in Part X in the core of the Organizations 990.
