Organizations Filed Purposes:
PURPOSE: To provide economic, cultural, religious and social activities that enhance the quality of life in the greater hilltop area of Columbus, Ohio.
Ville on the Hill: Membership-based programming for older adults began in September 2019. The program is connecting neighbors with neighbors to assist with minor home maintenance, transportation, social events and more. This program served 15 maintenance requests and provided 111 rides.
Positive Youth Development Hilltop Teen Club: This program provided an afterschool drop in center at West High School. A homework help session was held twice a week with adult and peer volunteers ready to help students with academic work, job applications, or college essays. The program served 124 youth.
Summer HYPE: The summer day camp for Kindergarten through fifth graders operated at Crossroads UMC from June 24th-July 26th, 2019. HYPE stands for Hilltop Young People Excel. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were served each day. A drug free poster contest was held each site and the best poster was submitted to ADAMHs poster collection for judging. Field trips included traveling to the Highland Youth Garden and to the Hilltop branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The program served 33 youth.
