The MVHF raised funds for the Diabetes Inpatient team - hospitalized patients receive care from certified diabetes educators based at the Bull Family Diabetes Center, which offers those living with diabetes both outpatient and hospitalized care for treatment of their disease. In 2019, the diabetes educators completed 1,778 inpatient visits. Additionally, the MVHF helps fund outpatient diabetes education for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
