Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of the National Association of Nephrology Technologists (NANT) is to promote the highest quality of care for End State Renal Disease (ESRD)/Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients through education and professionalism. NANT's goals are to provide educational opportunities for the technical practitioner and other members of the integrated care team, represent the technical professional in the regulatory and legislative arena, achieve recognition for the role and significant contribution of the technical practitioner to the total care of the ESRD/CKD patient, develop technical professionals for leadership roles and to serve as a resource for the ESRD/CKD community to accomplish these goals.

Educational events are held that offer opportunities for interactive networking. The annual symposium and other meetings are resources for information about the trends for today's dialysis technicians. Professional continuing education contact hours can be earned by attending certain sessions. In addition, other meetings and expenses are necessary to plan for future programs and to assess present program activities. Membership benefits include a quarterly newsletter, subscriptions to industry publications, and discounted registration fees for the national symposium, regional meetings, workshops, and webinars.

Website hosting, development, and support are provided. The public is provided with information about the roles of Nephrology Technicians and Nephrology Technologists. Members of the organization can actively share ideas, access resource materials, and read the latest news from the NANT office. The website features an interactive Career Center and a Store for purchasing study guides and other references dedicated to the education of dialysis professionals.

The electronic newsletter is a bi-weekly publication that includes association news, information on industry trends, and articles regarding pertinent issues in the field. Publications that can be used by individuals in a technician training program, technicians and nurses preparing for certification exams, and dialysis patients who want to understand the dialysis process are also available.
