BESIDES PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER, CITY MISSION HAS SEVERAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO AID THOSE IN THE SHELTER FIND A PATH OUT OF HOMELESSNESS. THE RESTART PROGRAM FOCUSES ON SKILLS, TRAINING, ABILITIES, RELATIONSHIPS AND TESTIMONY. CITY MISSION PROGRAM LEADERS MEET WITH CLIENTS TO CREATE A PLAN TO DEFINE GOALS, SCHEDULE SERVICE HOURS AND OUTLINE MISSION EXPECTATIONS. THE PROGRAM IS TAILORED TO EACH INDIVIDUAL AND HIS OR HER CIRCUMSTANCES. OTHER CITY MISSION KEY PROGRAMS INCLUDE: IMMEDIATE HOUSING PROGRAM, COMMUNITY GUEST MEALS, RESIDENT MEALS, BIKE PROGRAM, TRANSPORTATION, EDUCATION CENTER, CHA

THE CITY MISSION IS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION IN THIS AREA THAT PROVIDES BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER 365 DAYS A YEAR TO RESIDENTIAL GUESTS AND DAILY LUNCH AND DINNER TO COMMUNITY GUESTS. THERE ARE NO INCOME OR RESIDENCY QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS FREE SERVICE. IN 2019 THE MISSION SERVED 91,090 MEALS.

THE CITY MISSION IS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION IN THE AREA THAT PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER AND LONG TERM PROGRAMS FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN. IN 2019, 514 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED SHELTER AT THE MISSION FOR A TOTAL OF 27,030 NIGHTS OF LODGING.

THE MISSION OFFERS ADVOCACY SERVICES TO BOTH EMERGENCY GUESTS AND PROGRAM GUESTS. ADVOCACY EFFORTS ARE INTENDED TO IMPROVE GUESTS' QUALITY OF LIFE AND EQUIP THEM WITH SKILLS AND TOOLS TO MAKE THEM MORE EMPLOYABLE AND HELP END HOMELESSNESS IN THEIR LIVES. ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, COMPUTERS, TELEPHONE, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND RESOURCES ARE CRITICAL TO ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS OVERCOME THE AFFECTS OF TRAUMA, ADDICTION, AND POVERTY AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES TO PREPARE RESUMES, JOB APPLICATIONS, AND PERFORM ONLINE JOB SEARCHES.
