To help individuals and families break the negative cycle of generational poverty through the removal of barriers of instability.
Joshua's Place exist to help individuals and families break the negative cycle of generational poverty, Key activities are a Food Co-op, Developmental Courses and After School Tutoring.
Food Co-op - participants attend every two weeks and receive food and household supplies as well as developmental opportunities such as parent and financial literacy classes.
Summer Camp - provides lunches and activites during the summer to keep kids engaged, learning andnourished while out of school. Whiz Kids is a one-to-one reading literacy tutoring program. Each week ofthe school year an elementary age child meets with the same adult tutor for an hour.
Kings Power Pack Program - provides weekend food for approximately 250 students during the school year.
