TO FACILITATE REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS IN NORTHEAST OHIO INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO OBERLIN COLLEGE, LORAIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, THE CITY OF OBERLIN, SURROUNDING TOWNSHIPS, NEIGHBORING CITIES, AND LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO PROMOTE AGRARIAN DESIGN EDUCATION, ACT AS AN INCUBATOR FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND ENTERPRISES DEVOTED TO AGRARIAN PRINCIPLES, SERVE AS A REGIONAL AND NATIONAL CENTER DEVOTED TO INNOVATIONS IN FARM AND FOOD SYSTEMS, AND TO DO ANY AND ALL THINGS NECESSARY AND INCIDENTAL THERETO.

TO MANAGE AND OPERATE A 70 ACRE AGRARIAN EDUCATIONAL CENTER THAT INTEGRATES THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS: 1) ORGANIC AGRICULTURE, 2) RESTORATION ECOLOGY, 3) RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY, 4) ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY BUILDING, 5) LAND-USE PLANNING, 6) ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, AND 7) TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE HEALTHY, SUSTAINABLE, AND EQUITABLE LOCAL FOOD SYSTEMS.

CITY FRESH IS A UNIQUELY ACCESSIBLE COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA) PROGRAM SEEKING TO EDUCATE AND PROVIDE ACCESS TO FRESH, LOCAL, ORGANIC PRODUCE TO RESIDENTS IN NORTHEAST OHIO WHILE PROVIDING A MORE STABLE MARKET FOR LOCAL FARMERS. APPROXIMATELY 600 MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY FRESH PROGRAM ANNUALLY.

THE GEORGE JONES FARM IS A 70 ACRE FARMSTEAD COMBINING PRODUCTION AREAS FOR ORGANICALLY GROWN VEGETABLES, FRUIT, AND VERMICOMPOSTING WITH EFFORTS TO RESTORE NATURAL HABITAT. THE FARM INCLUDES A VARIETY OF FARMING APPLICATIONS SUCH AS SIX EXPERIMENTAL WETLANDS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW FARMING AND RESTORING BIODIVERSITY CAN BE MORE COMPATIBLE. THE FARM ALSO HAS AN INTERSHIP PROGRAM WITH OBERLIN COLLEGE AND LORAIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE. THE FARM OFFERS VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING A SUMMER CAMP FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN AIMING TO EDUCATE CHILDREN ON HOW FOOD GROWS.
