UNITED WAY OF PORTAGE COUNTY'S OWN 211 PORTAGE PROVIDES 24/7 INFORMATION AND REFERRAL TO COUNTY RESIDENTS SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE ARENA.
Community Impact - EducationIn FY2017, United Way of Portage County, OHIO allocated $89,000 to support education in Portage County. There were 6 programs selected to provide the services. The 6 programs all serve children and families and include: after school tutoring, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Junior Achievement programs, youth programs, an early learning center and vocational services for the disabled.
Community Impact - IncomeIn FY2017, United Way of Portage County, OHIO allocated $154,000 to support income in Portage County. There were 12 programs selected to provide the services. The 12 programs all serve children and families and include: emergency housing and financial assistance, meal and home help services for the elderly, clothing assistance, credit counseling, early childhood learning assistance, and employment assistance.
