In 2020, the Wyandot County Humane Society rescued/received 11,995 animals, of which 2,351 were dogs, 8,593 cats and 1,051 other animals. The organization responded to 252 calls for assistance picking up 305 animals, and investigated or consulted on 23 reports of neglect or cruelty. Also provided were pet adoption services including posting available animals on Petfinder.com, lost and found to local media and through the shelter website and FB account. The pet therapy program in local schools and nursing homes, information and educational tours and speakers to local community groups and schools were all suspended in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions.
