MEMBERSHIP SERVICES:WELD'S EXECUTIVE WOMEN'S SERIES (EWS) IS FOCUSED ON BRINGING EXECUTIVE FEMALE LEADERS TOGETHER TO ADDRESS OBSTACLES AND STRUGGLES IN THEIR PURSUIT FOR ADVANCEMENT. WELD HOSTED 10 OF THESE IN 2020.WELD CONDUCTED SIX NEW AND RENEWING MEMBER PROGRAMS/NETWORKING PROGRAMS FOR ITS CHAPTERS AND INCLUDED SEVERAL VIRTUAL NETWORKING EVENTS.WELD CONDUCTED A SPECIALTY MEMBER-ONLY PROGRAM FOR AFFINITY GROUPS OF OUR CORPORATE MEMBERS WITH 31 ATTENDEES. THIS IS A NATIONAL PROGRAM HOSTED VIRTUALLY WHERE COMPANIES SHARE THEIR BEST PRACTICES IN MANAGING EMPLOYEE BUSINESS RESOURCE GROUPS.CORPORATE MEMBER ONBOARDING:WELD PROVIDED ONBOARDING FOR ITS NEW CORPORATE MEMBERS VIA VIRTUAL FORMAT.

EVENTSKEYNOTE: AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC THE WELD COLUMBUS CHAPTER 2020 KEYNOTE EVENT WAS CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED AS A VIRTUAL EVENT TO BE HELD IN JUNE OF 2021. THE EVENT WILL FEATURE JOHN ROGERS, CHAIRMAN, CO-CEO AND CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER OF ARIEL INVESTMENTS AND COLLEEN JAY, DIRECTOR, THE COOPER COMPANIES AND TREASURY WINE ESTATES. IT WILL FOCUS ON THE TOPIC MOVING FORWARD: THE PLAYBOOK FOR ADVOCACY. LEADERSHIP: WELD HOSTS AN ANNUAL WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE EACH SUMMER TO EDUCATE WOMEN AT VARIOUS STAGES OF THEIR CAREERS. THE 2020 CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN VIRTUAL FORMAT FOR THE FIRST TIME. A WIDE RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING ADDRESSED THE DIVERSE WAYS WOMEN CAN DEVELOP AND APPLY LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN BOTH PROFESSIONAL AND CIVIC SERVICE. THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT CAREER TRACKS. ATTENDEES COME AWAY WITH A STRONG SENSE OF THE URGENT NEED TO APPLY THOUGHT AND CREATIVITY TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS, AS WELL AS, PRACTICAL SKILLS TO HELP ACHIEVE THAT GOAL. WELD CONDUCTED ITS TENTH ANNUAL FULL-DAY LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE WHICH FEATURED OVER 50 EXPERT PRESENTERS ON A VARIETY OF LEADERSHIP TOPICS, INCLUDING BOTH AN OPENING AND LUNCH SESSION KEYNOTE SPEAKER. WELD HAD 350 REGISTRATIONS, INCLUDING 63 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS. THESE WOMEN ARE STRIVING FOR ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE AND ARE REINVENTING THEIR LIVES AFTER SUFFERING EXTREME SET BACK. THEY WERE ABLE TO LEARN NEW SKILL SETS IN A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT AND BUILD NEW COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS. THE CONFERENCE ALSO INCLUDED TWO BOARD TRACKS A GOVERNMENT BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS GOVERNANCE SKILLS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM AND A CORPORATE BOARD TRACK.WOMEN WELDING THE WAY CALENDAR:THE WELD COLUMBUS CHAPTER LAUNCHED ITS 17TH ANNUAL WOMEN WELDING THE WAY (R) CALENDAR. THESE CALENDARS SHOWCASE THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF 12 WOMEN WHO ARE NOMINATED BY THE COMMUNITY AND SELECTED BY KEY BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS. THE CALENDAR HONOREES ARE A DIVERSE MIX OF WOMEN WHO ARE LEADERS IN THEIR COMPANIES AND INDUSTRIES, HAVE POSITIVELY IMPACTED THEIR COMMUNITIES AND HAVE INSPIRED WOMEN TO STRIVE FOR THEIR CAREER ASPIRATIONS WHILE REACHING BACK FOR OTHERS. A PRINTED CALENDAR IS CREATED FOR EACH OF THESE CHAPTERS THAT SHOWCASES THE TALENT AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF THESE WOMEN. THIS EVENT WAS HELD VIRTUALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2020 DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF REGISTRATIONS FOR THE EVENT WERE 125. THIS LOWER COUNT REFLECTS THAT MANY HAD GROUPS OF PEOPLE VIEWING THE EVENT FROM THE SAME VIRTUAL ACCOUNT RATHER THAN EACH PERSON BEING REQUIRED TO PURCHASE INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS.

PROGRAMMING: WELD HOLDS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO TEACH SKILLS USEFUL FOR LEADERS AT VARIOUS STAGES IN THEIR CAREERS. TYPICALLY THESE ARE A BLEND OF IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL EVENTS. IN 2020, ALL EVENTS WERE CONVERTED TO VIRTUAL EVENTS AND BROADCAST NATIONALLY. THESE EVENTS INCLUDE THE EMERGING PROFESSIONAL SERIES PROGRAMS TARGETED TO THOSE JUST STARTING OUT IN THEIR CAREERS, THE LEADERSHIP SERIES PROGRAMS TARGETED TO MID-CAREER PROFESSIONALS COVERING A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS AND AN EXECUTIVE WOMEN'S SERIES FOR SENIOR LEADERS AND C-SUITE EXECUTIVES.IN ALL, WELD HAD NEARLY 4,400 WOMEN AND MEN ATTEND OUR LEADERSHIP AND MEMBER PROGRAMS AND SIGNATURE EVENTS. TWO HUNDRED WOMEN AND MEN SERVED AS PROGRAM SPEAKERS. WELD CONTINUED TO OFFER SEVERAL PROGRAMS WITH SHRM, CPE AND OH AND WV CLE. WELD INTRODUCED SEVERAL NEW PROGRAMS IN 2020: COLLEGIATE WEBINARS, MY FIRST SERIES, REFLECTION SERIES, KEEP IT SIMPLE SERIES, AND OTHER PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO HELP WOMEN AND WOMEN OF COLOR MANAGE THROUGH A CHALLENGING YEAR WITH THE DOUBLE PANDEMIC OF COVID-19 AND SOCIAL INJUSTICE. FOR THE FIRST TIME, WELD HOSTED NATIONAL FORUMS ON BLACK WOMEN'S EQUAL PAY DAY AND LATINA EQUAL PAY DAY.WELD'S C-SUITE SERIES FOCUSED ON TOPIC SUCH AS PUBLIC COMPANY FINANCIALS, NONPROFIT FINANCIALS, PREPARING FOR THE BOARD INTERVIEW AND OTHER PROGRAM TOPICS.TO EASE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN MANY FACED IN 2020, WELD OFFERED OVER 20 FREE WEBINARS TO MEMBERS.
