REVENUE GENERATED FROM THE SALE OF DONATED GOODS SUPPORTS GOODWILL'S WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES WHICH HELP PLACE CONSUMERS IN COMPETITIVE JOBS IN THE COMMUNITY. OVER 110,000 INDIVIDUALS DONATED PRODUCTS TO BE SOLD IN RETAIL STORES.
CONTRACT: THE INDUSTRIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT IS A KEY RESOURCE FOR GOODWILL'S JOB TRAINING SERVICES. THROUGH SUB-CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES, GOODWILL OFFERS ON-THE-JOB TRAINING WHERE INDIVIDUALS LEARN MARKETABLE SKILLS FOR SECURING A COMPETITIVE JOB IN THE COMMUNITY. GOODWILL HAS BECOME AN OUTSOURCING PARTNER THAT BENEFITS INDUSTRY, THE COMMUNITY AND THOSE PEOPLE IN WHICH THEY SERVE. GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF WAYNE AND HOLMES COUNTIES, INC. HAS BEEN ASSESSED AND CERTIFIED IN ISO 9001:2015 WITHOUT DESIGN QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS. THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS APPLICABLE TO THE SUB- ASSEMBLY AND INSPECTION OF MANUFACTURED ASSEMBLIES.
VOCATIONAL SERVICES: WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES HELP INDIVIDUALS OVERCOME A MULTITUDE OF BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. GOODWILL EMPOWERS THEM WITH EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB DEVELOPMENT SERVICES ASSISTING THEM IN BECOMING COMPETITIVELY EMPLOYED. GOODWILL PROVIDES ONE ON ONE CASE MANAGEMENT/MENTORING SERVICING, ALONG WITH JOB DEVELOPMENT AND RETENTION SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS FROM WAYNE & HOLMES COUNTIES, INCLUDING YOUTH FROM 14-24, ADULTS AND SENIORS. GOODWILL IS ACCREDITED BY CARF (COMMITTEE ON ACCREDITATION OF REHABILITATION FACILITIES). IN 2018, GOODWILL HELPED PLACE 135 PEOPLE IN COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT AND SERVED OVER 3,680 INDIVIDUALS DURING THE YEAR WITH BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT.
