BEATITUDE HOUSE, SPONSORED BY THE URSULINE SISTERS, IS COMMITTED TO ALL DISADVANTAGED WOMEN AND CHILDREN. BY CREATING HOMES, PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, AND FOSTERING HEALTHY FAMILIES, WE PROVIDE THEM WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRANSFORM THEIR LIVES.
WE PROVIDE HOMES AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND FOSTER HEALTHY FAMILIES FOR DISADVANTAGED WOMEN.
TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS ADULTS AND CHILDREN DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019. THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDED STRUCTURED SERVICES AND A STABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR 24 WOMEN AND 34 CHILDREN IN ASHTABULA COUNTY. 62% OF ADULTS IN THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM WERE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. 53% OF ADULTS INCREASED THEIR INCOME. 100% WERE ABLE TO MOVE TO PERMANENT HOUSING. PRIOR TO THIS FISCAL YEAR, BEATITUDE HOUSE HAD TWO TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAMS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR ONE OF THE YOUNGSTOWN LOCATIONS CHANGED FROM TRANSITIONAL HOUSING TO PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING.
PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR HOMELESS ADULTS AND CHILDREN OFFERED RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORTIVE CARE PROGRAM WHERE AT LEAST ONE MEMBER OF THE HOUSEHOLD HAS A DISABILITY. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED STRUCTURED SERVICES AND A STABLE LIVING ENVIRONMENT FOR 50 ADULTS AND 56 CHILDREN. 100% HAS A DISABILITY. 66% OF ADULTS WERE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. 85% REMAINED IN OR MOVED ONTO PERMANENT HOUSING.
URSULINE SISTERS SCHOLARS PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, WORKSHOPS AND A MENTORING PROGRAM TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS LOOKING TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY THROUGH EDUCATION. THIS PROGRAM PARTNERS WITH LOCAL TWO- AND FOUR-YEAR COLLEGES, AS WELL AS TECHNICAL SCHOOLS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019 THIS PROGRAM SERVED 49 STUDENTS. 52% OF STUDENTS WERE SINGLE PARENTS. THERE WERE 14 GRADUATES AND A 76% SUCCESS RATE.
