Visitor packets filled with Aberdeen information are handed out at sporting events, reunions, meetings and conventions hosted throughout the year. We also fulfilled requests for several thousand official Aberdeen Visitor Guides that were sent to area, regional and state visitor centers. The CVB will continue to track our requests for information by location and promotion/ad to determine effectiveness and response rate. We use this tracked information to maintain and adjust our marketing efforts to maximize the marketing exposure of Aberdeen. The CVB currently maintains a database of 885 conventions/reunions/group tours. We revamped the database to be more efficient on our end. This represented some classifications and numerous updates to make the process easier to track. Our goal is to contact/update each of these groups in 2020 depending upon their meeting date. We have set a goal to research additional leads of 3/month. The maintained database helps track repeat events or events that travel around the state on a rotation basis. The Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is proud to play a role in the economic growth, vitality, and quality of life in Aberdeen.
