NEMHC provides psychiatric, mental health services and substance abuse services to consumers in a 10 county catchment area. Services are provided in the home, community, or office at the discretion of the individuals served. In FY 2020, psychiatric services were provided to 19 children and 770 adults (over 21 years old). Mental Health (psychotherapy) services were provided to 1,250 adults and 810 children. Substance Abuse services were provided to 244 adults and 120 children.
NEMHC licenses therapeutic foster care homes and trains the foster parents. The therapeutic foster care home provides an environment conducive to the physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth and well-being of youth up to the age of 18. Along with providing ongoing individualized training for the foster parents, NEMHC clinicians provide therapy and case management services to foster care youth in placement to ensure that the needs of the child are met. For FY 2020, NEMHC averaged 3 children per month in foster care.
