IN ADDITION TO RECREATION, OPTIMAL ANIMAL CARE AND EDUCATION, THE ZOO'S MISSION INCLUDES GLOBAL CONSERVATION THROUGH BREEDING AND CARE OF ENDANGERED SPECIES, INCLUDING PARTICIPATION IN 43 SPECIES SURVIVAL PLANS. THE ZOO'S ANIMALS INCLUDE SNOW LEOPARDS, TIGERS, RHINOS, GIRAFFES, ZEBRAS, AND MULTIPLE PRIMATE SPECIES. THE SOCIETY OCCUPIES, WITHOUT CHARGE, THE CITY OF SIOUX FALLS' ZOO AND MUSEUM FACILITIES.
