Recruiting, educating, and keeping the power transmission workforce current with emerging technology
To develop five operator level courses: Gear inspection, Gear cutter, Gear Grinder, Hobbing and Heat Treat Technician. The courses were identified as the result of an AGMA skills matrix analysis and will provide an opportunity for shop level employees to engage in professional development acitvity. The courses will also provide the employees with an opportunity to learn from and interact with the experts in the gear industry.
In 2019, the Foundation awarded 11 scholarships to engineering students at the Technical/Associate, Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
