LIVERLEARNING IS AN ONLINE EDUCATIONAL REPOSITORY THAT ORGANIZES DIGITAL CONTENT FROM AASLD MEETINGS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS SUCH AS PRACTICE GUIDELINES, SLIDE SET COMPILATIONS AND COURSE HANDOUTS.AASLD IS ACCREDITED BY THE ACCREDITATION COUNCIL FOR CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (ACCME) TO OFFER AMA PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDIT. PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS: INCLUDES (1) AASLD PRACTICE GUIDELINES (2) PRACTICE METRICS COMMITTEE AND (3) RELATED SOCIETY COLLABORATIONS. (1) AASLD PRACTICE GUIDELINES: AASLD DEVELOPS CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES WHICH INCLUDE RECOMMENDATIONS THAT ARE SUPPORTED BY A HIGH LEVEL OF SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE TO ASSIST PRACTITIONER AND PATIENT DECISIONS FOR APPROPRIATE HEALTH CARE RELATED TO SPECIFIC CLINICALCIRCUMSTANCES. (2) PRACTICE METRICS COMMITTEE: THE PURPOSE OF THE COMMITTEE IS TO DEVELOP AND REVISE PERFORMANCE MEASURES THAT SERVE AS:- A MECHANISM TO EVALUATE QUALITY OF CARE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS WITH LIVER DISEASES, FROM BOTH THE PROVIDER AND PATIENT PERSPECTIVE - A STIMULUS FOR QUALITY IMPROVEMENTPROGRAMS WITHIN THE AASLD- SUCH AS THE CIRRHOSIS QUALITY COLLABORATIVE (CQC).
