Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide Black and Brown woman-identifying founders with access to community,education, and leadership development in order to meet business milestones that lead to economic advancement through entrepreneurship.
Community: Black Girl Ventures Foundation hosted a series of regional pitch competition programs as an innovative way to finance businesses, merging the traditional pitch competition with crowdfunding. Through this program, BGV provided grants to Black and Brown woman-identifying founders. The pitch program utilizes both our volunteers and staff members.
Educational Programming. BGV hosted regular educational traning programs to help Black and Brown woman-identifying founders gain industry specific knowledge that provides acompetitive advantage for running and scaling their businesses.
Leadership Development. Black and Brown woman-identifying founders participate in our leadership development program which provides culturally relevant entreprenurial training, access to business referrals, coaching, and exchange of resources.
