CAF AMERICA IS A GLOBAL GRANTMAKING ORGANIZATION ASSISTING CORPORATIONS, FOUNDATIONS, INDIVIDUALS, AND FOREIGN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS: CAF America currently operates Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) and Matching Donor Advised Funds (MDAFs) that in FY20 gave over 257,411 grants totaling $256,768,090. We partner with US corporate, individual and foundation donors who support organizations in 106 countries.
DONOR ADVISED GIFTS: In FY20, donors worked with CAF America to make 644 single Donor Advised Gifts (DAGs) totaling $10,634,829. Single gifts enable donors to recommend grants without establishing a specific fund at CAF America. This program serves as a complement to CAF America's professional advisory services and is a resource for companies and others interested in supporting a variety of causes.
FRIENDS OF CHARITY FUNDS: Friends of Charity Funds are available to international charitable organizations to use as a tool to increase support from American donors. During FY20, donors worked with CAF America to make 191 grants to 68 foreign charitable organizations who have established Friends Funds with CAF America. This CAF America program enables approved foreign charitable organizations to connect with US donors without creating their own US IRC A501(c)(3) entity.
