The Submarine Technology Symposium (STS) is a classified (SECRET/NOFORN) three-day conference, usually held at the Kossiakoff Center on the campus of Johns Hopkins University. The purpose of the STS is to facilitate the exchange of business, technical, and professional information relevant to submarines and undersea warfare, including unmanned systems. This is a premier opportunity for Navy leadership, Industry and Academia to engage in productive technical exchanges. Industry, government, and academia are invited to submit abstracts for presentation. The on-site format includes selected displays of new technology developments. Speakers generally allow time for Q&A and there are breaks between sessions to foster discussion and networking.

The purpose of the NSL Annual Symposium & Industry Update is to facilitate the exchange of business, technical, and professional information relevant to submarines and undersea warfare, including unmanned systems. The two-day event is traditionally accepted by DoD as a Widely Attended Gathering, enabling Active Duty attendance. Presentations are made by Submarine Force leadership with updates on major acquisition and programmatic issues. Active Duty panels provide additional insight into the experiences and needs of today's submariners. Industry and government agencies present technical papers, discussion, and solutions via exhibit displays. There are continuous opportunities for Navy leadership and Industry networking.

The purpose of the Corporate Member Days (CMD) is to facilitate the exchange of business, technical, and professional information relevant to submarines and undersea warfare, including unmanned systems. This event is exclusively for Corporate Members and provides an opportunity for Submarine Force leadership to share their vision and direction with industry, usually after the federal budget has been issued. Major financial and programmatic issues are discussed. The keynote is usually an update from Naval Reactors and a member of Congress is invited to speak at a breakfast meeting. Discussions focus on major acquisition and technical issues in the Submarine Force. This event is a prime networking opportunity, enabling contractors, subcontractors, and government personnel to discuss the challenges of delivering the capabilities needed by the Submarine Force.
