Tauxemont Cooperative Preschool's mission is to provide an environment for a child to grow emotionally, developmentally, physically, socially, and intellectually. Tauxemont has five classes for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old and is nationally accredited and state licensed.
The cooperative preschool program held five classes for children aged 2 1/2 to 5 years old with between 12 and 16 children per class. Classes began in September and ended in May. The Tauxemont learning experience encourages parents to participate with their children during school and at special events. Average enrollment throughout the year is 65 students.
The nature camp offered one-week camp sessions for children 3 1/2 to rising second graders during the summer months. Children enjoy a traditional camp experience with nature hikes, camp songs and opening and closing ceremonies. Approximately 250 children attended the nature camp.
