Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of WateReuse is to educate the public on the importance of reusing water and to advocate for laws, policies and funding to increase water reuse in communities across the United States.
To advance the beneficial and efficient use of water resources.
Education and Outreach: Educational workshops and specialty conferences, preparation of publications and general information for members and other interested parties regarding water reuse and desalination.The WateReuse Association educates the public and policymakers about the benefits of water reuse--and educates our members about water reuse best management practices and industry innovations.
Advocacy and Policy: Communication with Federal and state legislators/regulators and staff members regarding water reuse and desalination, including drafting legislative/regulatory proposals and gathering/providing information on relevant water issues.The WateReuse Association and our state sections advocate every day for federal and state policies and funding to support water reuse.
Membership: Recruiting new members who have an interest in water reuse and desalination. Consists of mailings and on-site visits to present information on services provided and benefits to members.
