Digital Resource Development and Distribution:Established in 1999, the Bill of Rights Institute (BRI) supports secondary school teachers of American history, civics, and social studies. By providing free digital resources to educators and students, and professional development programs for educators, BRI is committed to educating for self-governance. In doing so, BRI inspires the rising generation to champion the ideals expressed in our nation's founding documents and to strive for their full realization. (Continued in Schedule O)
Programs and Outreach:BRI held 30 in-person programs and 55 webinars for teachers and students in 2019. 3,241 educators earned more than 4,800 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from BRI professional development programs. Altogether, BRI directly reached 223,441 students via website and email interaction, and another 215,000 students through provision of pocket copies of the Constitution.
