Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE CHARTER SCHOOL CAPITAL ACCESS PROGRAM, LLC (ALSO KNOWN AS CCAP, LLC) WAS FORMED TO COMBINE THE EXPERTISE OF TWO ORGANIZATIONS, CAPITAL IMPACT PARTNERS ("CIP") AND THE REINVESTMENT FUND ("TRF"), IN ORDER TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO FINANCING FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS IN THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION. CCAP, LLC IS A VEHICLE THAT ALLOWS CIP AND TRF TO LEVERAGE THEIR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS AND MAXIMIZES LENDING IN AREAS NEITHER WOULD OTHERWISE HAVE ACCESS TO.
LOAN AND FINANCING PROGRAM:MANAGEMENT OF A LOAN POOL THAT PROVIDES FINANCING TO CHARTER SCHOOLS FOR THE PURPOSES OF FUNDING NEW CONSTRUCTION, BUILDING ACQUISITIONS, RENOVATION COSTS AND LEASEHOLD IMPROVEMENTS. THE MAJORITY OF THE STUDENTS ENROLLED AT THE CHARTER SCHOOLS SEEKING CCAP LOANS SHOULD QUALIFY FOR FREE OR REDUCED PRICE LUNCHES PER TITLE I GUIDELINES, AND/OR THE FACILITY TO BE FINANCED SHOULD BE LOCATED IN A LOW-INCOME AREA, DETERMINED BY ZIP CODE. ONE OF CCAP'S GOALS IS THAT AT LEAST 80% OF ITS BORROWERS WILL QUALIFY AS LOW INCOME. THIS IS ACCORDING TO THE UNDERWRITING GUIDELINES ADOPTED BY CCAP.
