Organizations Filed Purposes: THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES COUNCIL, INC. (THE COUNCIL) MISSION IS TO PROVIDE UNPARALLELED VALUE TO OUR MEMBERS BY BEING THE LEADING ADVOCATE AND RESOURCE FOR THE FEDERAL PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES INDUSTRY.

BEING THE LEADING ADVOCATE AND RESOURCE FOR THE FEDERAL GOV'T, PROFESSIONAL, AND TECH. INDUSTRY.

THE COUNCIL CONDUCTS A BROAD BASED ADVOCACY PROGRAM TO EDUCATE AND INFORM MEMBERS ON IMPORTANT PUBLIC POLICY AND REGULATORY ISSUES THAT IMPACT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICE CONTRACTORS AND THE GOVERNMENT. THE COUNCIL PROVIDES VARIOUS ACTIVITIES TO ACCOMPLISH THIS OBJECTIVE WHICH INCLUDE:PSC'S FIVE COUNCILS:1) THE ACQUISITION & BUSINESS POLICY COUNCIL DEVELOPS PSC'S POSITION AND TAKES ACTION ON MAJOR PROCUREMENT, COST CUTTING AND ACQUISITION POLICY ISSUES.2) THE TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL DEVELOPS PSC'S POSITIONS AND TAKES ACTION ON HOW TECHNOLOGY IS CHANGING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MARKETPLACE AND PROMOTES THE USE OF INNOVATION AND COMMERCIAL BEST PRACTICES.3) THE COUNCIL OF INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANIES IS PSC'S ADVOCACY PLATFORM FOR U.S. DEVELOPMENT COMPANIES TO PURSUE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP AND DIALOGUE WITH USAID AND OTHER AGENCIES.4) THE DEFENSE & INTELLIGENCE COUNCIL COORDINATES PSC'S ACTIVITIES RELATING TO THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY, THE MILITARY SERVICES AND OTHER DEFENSE COMMANDS AND COMPONENTS.5) THE CIVILIAN AGENCIES COUNCIL FOCUSES ON THE ACQUISITION POLICIES AND STRATEGIES OF THE CIVILIAN AGENCIES, INCLUDING HOMELAND SECURITY, VETERANS AFFAIRS, ENERGY AND HEALTH.OTHER PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:- ANNUAL CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 310 MEMBERS - DEFENSE AND INTELLIGENCE CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 160 ATTENDEES- INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 250 ATTENDEES- FEDERAL ACQUISITION CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 170 MEMBERS- FEDERAL HEALTH CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 230 MEMBERS- LAW ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 230 MEMBERS- LEADERSHIP SUMMIT ATTENDED BY 120 MEMBERS- NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING EVENTS- PUBLICATION OF A DAILY ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER- PUBLICATION OF A QUARTERLY MAGAZINE- FACILITATE REGULARLY SCHEDULED COMMITTEE AND TASK FORCE MEETINGS ADDRESSING VARIOUS ASPECTS OF GOVERNMENT ACTIVITY DIRECTLY AFFECTING THE MEMBERSHIP.
