Organizations Filed Purposes:
Santa Pal, Inc. serves less fortunate youth in Bristol TN/VA & eastern Sullivan County TN & provides Christmas gifts to economically disadvantaged local children to create a positive & memorable holicay.
Fundraising is throughout the year by hosting Drive-In Bingo, Golf tournament,Christmas Basket Raffles and through sponsorships from local businesses. Applications for sponsorship are handed out through Bristol VA, Bristol TN & Sullivan County school counselors to lower income families. Parents complete applications & mail to Santa Pal. Applications are reviewed by representatives at each school system & Santa Pal board members. Applications for Santa Pal families include instructions as to what Santa Pal requires, including dos & donts. In 2020, 100 families & 208 children were provided for at Christmas.
Successful fundraising efforts provided extra funding which allowed Santa Pal to issue 2 checks to each local school system to help with COVID-19, food, clothing, supplies, and assistance at Christmas.
Contributions & donations received from local businesses, the community, and the general public by mail are used to provide Christmas for families & children. Normally all children & families are sponsored out meaning that the sponsors purchase the requested items. If not all children are sponsored, the revenue from contributions & donations is used to puchase the needs for the child or family not sponsored.
