Organizations Filed Purposes: Idea Delaware studies the statistical impact of economic policies in Delaware and all 50 states -- with an emphasis on innovation by governments, individuals, corporations, and other voluntary associations, and the history of innovation and innovators. Our mission is to improve public understanding of these innovations, their impact, and the factors that can frustrate or facilitate innovation. We are non-partisan, and adhere to the principles of political and legal equality, civil liberty, economic initiative and opportunity, and non-discrimination.

In 2014, Idea Delaware took note of policy innovations at the federal level and in such states as Arizona, Washington, and New Jersey, offering "direct care" for patients to obviate insurance coverage, and/or fill in gaps in insurance coverage for certain types of care. Through direct email, videos, meetings, e-meetings, and publications, we advised an estimated 500,000 persons of these opportunities, including

Idea Delaware's innovation of the month program (videos and written reports) helped an estimated 500 persons receive food, housing, transportation, and other aid, in both rural and urban communities, from both government and private entities. Also, Idea Delaware trained more than 20 high school and college students at its summer 2014 internship program as analysts and journalists. This program's results are difficult to measure directly -- some of the results are reported above -- but, as well, they bear indirect fruit by making these young women and men improved researchers and thinkers and communicators for a lifetime to come.
