Organizations Filed Purposes:
To build awareness and pride in the cultural, technical and historical diversity of the Eastern Shore, particularly Cape Charles. To create a community center for the presentation of educational programs of interest and importance to the community, energizing residents to build a stronger future. To preserve local and regional historic structures, artifacts, and oral history for tomorrow's citizens. To support a regional historic archive and research office for collecting, organizing, documenting and analyzing historic materials.

Maintain museum building, research and storage facilities, and grounds, including utilities, repairs, etc. Support members with 3 annual newsletters and activities. Maintain organizational presence with website, Facebook, museum organizations (Virginia Association of Museums, local museum network).
Create and provide museum exhibits to visitors. Stock museum shop for sales of relevant items to visitors. Hold fundraising events and activities.
Accept donations of relevant items of local historic relevance. Catalogue in Collections Database including description, photo or scan of item, donor etc. Provide Deed of Gift to donor. Store item at archive facility. Maintain outdoor exhibit items, e.g. railroad cars.
