MEMBERS BOUGHT 271 COPIES, AND 145 COPIES WERE BOUGHT BY LIBRARIES/EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. MAKING NON-JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS( I.E., WORKBOOKS, ANNUAL ABSTRACT BOOKS, TEXT BOOKS, AUDIO VISUAL SETS AND INZA PUBLICATIONS) PRODUCED BY THE CMS AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND ARRANGING TO SELL RELEVANT BOOKS FROM OTHER PUBLISHERS AT A DISCOUNT TO CMS MEMBERS. CMS RECEIVES ONE FULL PAGE FOR SOCIETY NEWS AND ADVERTISEMENTS IN EACH ISSUE. SIX ISSUES WERE PUBLISHED IN 2019, PROVIDING A FORUM FOR SCIENTIFIC COMMENTARY, INTERVIEWS WITH CLAY SCIENTISTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS OF MEETINGS, PUBLICATIONS, GRANTS, SOCIETY NEWS, ETC. ELEMENTS IS SENT TO APPROXIMATELY 331 CMS MEMBERS AND 145 CMS INSTITUTIONAL SUBSCRIBERS. THE PRINT VERSION OF ELEMENTS IS SENT TO MORE THAN 8,000 UNIQUE MEMBERS OF THE 13 PARTICIPATING GEOSCIENCE SOCIETIES IN 94 COUNTRIES, MORE THAN 1,410 LIBRARIES, ORGANIZATIONS, AND POLICY MAKERS ALSO RECEIVE IT AS EITHER A COMPANION TO THEIR SUBSCRIPTION TO ONE OF THE SOCIETIES' JOURNALS OR AS A COMPLIMENTARY MAILING.
GRANTS - CMS STUDENT RESEARCH GRANTS PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR WORTHY GRADUATE LEVEL RESEARCH IN CLAY SCIENCE. IN 2019, 5 GRANTS WERE AWARDED.
