Organizations Filed Purposes:
Rescue injured and orphaned wild birds, rehabilitate, and release back into the wild. While doing so, educate the public on wild bird conservation.
Altons'Keep had over 6 on-site wild bird conservation programs. Some of these programs were at the request of the homeschool programs. We continue our work with the Girl and Boy Scout troops and technical schools. We had a rehab intake of over 259 wild birds with a 46% release rate. We have become permitted to rehab Bald Eagles and this year we rescued, treated, and rehabbed 48 Bald Eagles. We are approved to add, Hellena, a non-releasable Bald Eagle to our Education Program. We are training permitted volunteers to continue wildbird rehabilitation.
