THE IRAQI CHILDREN FOUNDATION INTERVENES WITH LOVE AND HOPE IN THE LIVES OF IRAQI CHILDREN WHO ARE VULNERABLE TO ABUSE, NEGLECT, AND EXPLOITATION BY EXTREMISTS, CRIMINALS, AND HUMAN TRAFFICKERS. THE MISSION OF THE IRAQI CHILDREN FOUNDATION IS TO INVEST IN IRAQ'S ORPHANS, STREET CHILDREN, AND DISPLACED CHILDREN BY:BEING A VOICE FOR CHILDREN WITH NO VOICEMOBILIZING RESOURCES FOR EDUCATION, HEALTH, PROTECTION, AND TRAUMA CAREEMPHASIZING SUSTAINABLE HAND-UP INITIATIVES OVER HAND-OUTSINVESTING IN TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING OF IRAQIS CARING FOR CHILDREN
TO INTERVENE WITH LOVE AND HOPE IN THE LIVES OF IRAQI CHILDREN WHO ARE VULNERABLE TO ABUSE, NEGLECT, AND EXPLOITATION BY EXTREMISTS, CRIMINALS, AND HUMAN TRAFFICKERS.
HOPE BUSES: - ICF'S HOPE BUS INITIATIVE SERVED 234 DESPERATELY POOR AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN 2019. MANY ARE ORPHANS AND STREET CHILDREN WHO ARE UNABLE TO GO TO SCHOOL. TWO HOPE BUSES WERE OPERATIONAL WITH OVER 100 ORPHANS AND STREET CHILDREN AND OVER 25,000 NUTRITIOUS MEALS SERVICES. ADDITIONALLY, SERVICES WERE PROVIDED FOR HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL SERVICES, AND RECREATION.
STREET LAWYERS AND SOCIAL WORKERS: - LEGAL CASES: 782, INCLUDING 447 CASES OF LEGAL PROTECTION FOR KIDS WHO ARE ARRESTED, ABUSED IN CHILD LABOR, EXPLOITED BY CRIMINALS, DRUG GANGS, TRAFFICKERS ETC., AND 335 CASES OF OBTAINING LEGAL DOCUMENTS KIDS NEED FOR SCHOOL, WELFARE BENEFITS. - SOCIAL WORK CASES: 259 COVERING NEEDS LIKE HEALTH CARE, FAMILY MEDIATION, PREVENTION OF ABUSE, ETC. - ALTOGETHER, THE CASES HANDLED BY THE LEGAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES TEAM CAME TO 1,041 REPRESENTING LIFE CHANGING ASSISTANCE FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN IRAQ.
ADDITIONAL PROJECTS FOR ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN: - ICF SUPPORTED ADDITIONAL PROJECTS FOR STREET CHILDREN, ORPHANS, AND CHILDREN DISPLACED BY VIOLENCE. ICF PROVIDED THREE ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIRS TO DISABLED CHILDREN AND DISTRIBUTED 140 PACKAGES OF FOOD SUPPLIES TO STREET CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. ICF ALSO PROVIDES FULLA DOLLS.
