THIS SCHOLARSHIP WILL PROVIDE THE RECIPIENT(S) THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK WITH OTHER VETERAN BUSINESS OWNERS, PRIME CONTRACTORS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO GAIN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY WILL NEED TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
MEDICAL PRODUCTS INDUSTRY GROUP (MPIG). THE MPIG WAS STARTED IN 2016 AS A RESULT OF THE U.S. SUPREME COUNT DECISION IN THE KINGDOMWARE TECHNOLOGIES CASE AND THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS ESTABLISHMENT OF THE "PRIME VENDOR" PROGRAM FOR MEDICAL PRODUCTS (MSPV). NVSBC MEMBERS IN THE MEDICAL PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTION INDUSTRY WERE CONCERNED THAT SDVOSB SET-ASIDE OPPORTUNITIES AS REQUIRED BY THE KINGDOMWARE DECISION WOULD BE ELIMINATED AS A RESULT OF PRIME VENDOR. THE GROUP STARTED WITH SIX MEMBER FIRMS AND NOW HAS TWENTY-FIVE MEMBER FIRMS. WE ENGAGE WITH VIRGINIA LARGE BUSINESS MANUFACTURERS AND DISTRIBUTORS, AND OTHER TRADE ASSOCIATION TO ENSURE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SDVOSBS AND VOSBS.
