The Mission of LUCHA Ministries is to provide a Christian response to the question of immigration and the needs of the immigrant community by: Upholding the rights of immigrants and their families; serving as an information broker for the immigrant community; equipping stakeholders with key skills to transform knowledge into practice; addressing the spiritual and social needs of our community.
Human Needs: Weekly Food Pantry; distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables; school supplies distribution, assistance to families transitioning to online learning, including picking up laptops from schools and helping families obtain internet access; emergency assistance grants to families in crisis; specific food and medications assistance to persons in quarantine for COVID-19.
Community Programming and Outreach: This includes partnerships with other agencies (schools), seasonal activities, Project Adelante Women's empowerment, Girl Scouts, notary services (Spanish), opportunities for community service volunteers, information and referral.
Immigration Legal Services -- program provides low bono immigration legal services as a DOJ-Recognized organization. Services include Naturalization, Lawful Permanent Residency (LPR), Adjustment of Status, Work Permits, DACA (initial and renewal), and immigration consultations.
