This is a professional association of REALTORS. It reinforces ethical conduct and provides continuing education of members monthly on all aspects of real estate sales and ensures recognition of the high ethical standards by stakeholders, customers and community leaders within the operative region.
Education and professional development of approximately 250 primary and 23 secondary (7/2/2019)members of the professional association. Dues for National, State and Local Association are collected and a portion is passed through to National Association of REALTORS, Virgnia Association of REALTORS and RPAC. More members are opting to pay separately for those dues. The Association moved its quarters at year end to an office in Gloucester which management deemed to be closer to a more active economy and perceived to be more central to its base of members. Land held for building a new quarters was put up for sale and recent listing showed the property advertised at $375,000, requiring a significant write down of $123,009 from original cost.
