Piano & More's mission is to provide our community with a fun and contemporary approach to education, opportunity, and events concerning the musical arts. Our vision is to: - Offer practical and useful training for aspiring musicians and educators - Provide quality music education for children and adults at all levels and ages - Make creative opportunities available for local musicians and educators - Create a local musical community that engages in events and networking - Build a sponsorship program where students in title one schools can also receive our services - Provide instruments to our sponsored students - Bring our community together with music and art
Our mission is to make the learning of music fun and available to all people - no matter age or background. We started the Student Sponsorship Program in the fall of 2019 because we realized that low income families don't have the opportunity to receive proper piano education. Piano isn't taught in school, and private lessons are expensive. This is our way of connecting donors to high working students interested in piano but don't have the means to make it happen. We are happy to say even with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are able to continue lesson virtually. In 2019, its inaugural year, 150 students participated in music instruction. The sponsorship program provided two students with free, private tuition each week, and Piano & More was also able to provide donations of keyboards and music books. Three Christmas Concerts at nursing homes were held with approximately 50 students participating in music and crafts. Additionally, 150 students participated in the Spring Recital, fulfilling P
