ADVANCES RESPONSIBLE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THAT CREATES JOBS AND BENEFITS THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH OUR MEMBERS WORK AND LIVE.

WE PROVIDE A FORUM FOR LEADING COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY EDUCATION, GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS REPRESENTATION, NETWORKING, AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.

EDUCATION: THE EDUCATION PROGRAM CONTINUES ITS MISSION TO PROVIDE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO THE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY. NUMEROUS COURSES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CURRICULUM THAT ARE OFFERED IN AN ON-DEMAND FORMAT. THE OFFERING OF INDUSTRY CONFERENCES IS ALSO AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR MISSION. THE CRE.CONVERGE CONFERENCE, INDUSTRIAL CONFERENCE(S), AND THE FORUMS SYMPOSIUM ARE ANNUAL EVENTS. THESE CONFERENCES WERE ALL HELD AS VIRTUAL EVENTS IN 2020.

LEGISLATIVE: OUR GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS EFFORTS ARE FOCUSED ON ENSURING A PUBLIC POLICY ENVIRONMENT SUPPORTIVE OF THE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY, BOTH AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL AND THE STATE AND LOCAL LEVELS. NAIOP WORKED WITH ITS LOCAL CHAPTERS TO INCREASE AWARENESS AMONG ITS MEMBERS OF LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY CHALLENGES FACING THE INDUSTRY, AND TO ENHANCE THE ASSOCIATION'S GRASSROOTS CAPABILITIES.

PUBLICATIONS: NAIOP PUBLISHES A PRINT AND ELECTRONIC EDITION OF THE DEVELOPMENT MAGAZINE QUARTERLY. THROUGH ARTICLES AND REGULAR COLUMNS, THE MAGAZINE ADDRESSES PRODUCTS AND ISSUES IMPACTING COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT, BOTH NOW AND IN THE FUTURE. TOPICS ADDRESSED INCLUDE LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT; REGULATORY AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS; CAPITAL MARKETS; INVESTMENT SALES; SUPPLY, DEMAND, AND RENTS RELATING TO REAL ESTATE PRODUCTS; DEMOGRAPHICS, TECHNOLOGY, AND CONSUMER BEHAVIOR; TRANSPORTATION AND MOBILITY; SUSTAINABILITY; LEASING AND MARKETING; AND MORE.
