This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically to provide humane shelter, care and treatment for all animals in the area served by the organization, which will be the Northern Neck and surrounding counties of Virginia.In 2017, land was purchased and a website was completed. In 2018 and 2019, the planning process and permitting process continued. Fundraising continues for the long term goal of construction and operation of the animal shelter. In support of that mission, the Animal Welfare League donated $250,000 to add to the many gifts of support indicating faith in the mission.
Lancova Partners for Pets, Inc. dba Northern Neck Partners for Pets continued its major fundraising campaign and pursued grants, as well. The taxpayer received a major grant from the Animal Welfare Leaque to enable it to progress towards building. The permitting process for the building was not complete to allow further investment in the ground at close of year.
