2019 Camp Rice: The 10th Camp Rice took place on July 25-27, 2019 at the Pearlstone Retreat Center with the theme of "Treasure of Korea". The event was attended by 70 adult campers, 36 children, 31 teens, 24 adult adoptees,8 presenters, 30 Korean American volunteer staffs. While children learned about Korean culture through arts, music, dance, and cooking, adult campers had conference style lecture session -a couple of keynote speakers and several breakout sessions. This year was the first year we had the biggest number of teen campers. Teens enjoyed learning about Korean culture while making deeper connections with other teens and listening to adult adoptees' stories.

2019 Korean Culture School: Semi-annual educational program that takes place once a month at the First Korean Presbyterian Church,1011 Maple Ave,Rockville, MD 20851. Participants learn about Korean culture and about their adoptive heritage. Korean culture school are normally attended by 67 children, 81 parents, and 49 volunteers. Adoptive parent's sessions consist of two Korean culture related classes such as cooking and arts and craft and aoption related sessions. Adoption related sessions include an adoption prefessional or adult adoptee speaker. Children get to have some fun, get busy with hands-on activities to learn about Korean holidays, play games, eat Korean snacks. Korean Culture School offers Korean lunches every time so particpants can stay and get to know other attending adoptive families to create a feeling of a community.

2019 Korea Bridge Tour was on June 25-July 5, 2019. The Jeju Island extension trip was between July 5 and July 8, 2019. The tour was attended by 21 adoptive family members and 9 adult adoptees. The Korea tour visits Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan, and other cities in Korea that are interests of participants. During the tour, participants get to visit their adoption agency in Korea and review their adoption files. They spend an evening with a Korean host family and get to visit an alternative high school for North Korean sefector students. The Korea Bridge Tour is for adoptees who would like to visit their birth country with people who understand feelings as adoptees.
