Christ in Action is dedicated to the Biblical mandate of reaching those who need to hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, especially families who have been devastated by natural or man-made disasters across the United States.
Faith Based First Responders (FBFR): In 2007 following the Katrina disaster, and at the request of The White House, CIA has developed a Faith Based First Responders Coalition to streamline a nationwide rapid response network in the event of future disasters. The organization provides training through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF)offering the beginning course Assisting Individuals in Crisis (AIC), and the advanced training for Pastoral Crisis Intervention (PCI). It has also developed and advanced course for those individuals wishing to pursue crisis councseling further, the Chaplain Basic Training (CBT).
