The Friends of Barnabas Foundation provides direct medical services to children and brings preventative health education to children,parents, medical professionals, and communities in Honduras.
To improve the lives of improverished children in Honduras by providing high quality sustainable health care and enableing communities to be self-sufficient though health related training and education
FOB's Community Health Development Program made 24,637 patient encounters in the mountains of Honduras. Twelve Mountain Medical Teams were sent in addition to staff to provide general medical clinics, vision clinics, dental clinics, and services for children. Extensive educational workshops were also held.
FOB's Extended Care Program provided care to more than 350 patients through 1790 patient visits. The program also provided medications, patient care plans, specialist visits, and surgeries for children in need.
FOB's Early Childhood Development Program provided workshops for 30 community members on simple screening tools to be used in rural communities. The program also provided many workshops for parents.
