TO PRESENT CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE GREATER HAMPTON ROADS REGION OF VIRGINIA
DURING THE PERIOD OF JULY 7, 2019 THROUGH MARCH 7, 2020, THE VIRGINIA ARTS FESTIVAL PRODUCED 15 EVENTS: 14 TICKETED PERFORMANCES AND 1 FREE EVENT. THERE WERE MORE THAN 6,643 PATRONS ATTENDING WITH VISITORS FROM 23 STATES AND WASHINGTON, D.C. THERE WERE FOUR SOLD OUT PERFORMANCES. THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT HAD 43 EVENTS, REACHING OUT TO 4,932 STUDENTS FROM 36 SCHOOLS FROM SEVEN CITIES AND COUNTIES. TEN ARTISTS PARTICIPATED IN OUTREACH EVENTS.
