OSAGE HOUSE OPERATES ACCORDING TO THE NORMALIZATION PRINCIPLE, MEANING THAT ALL PERSONS LIVING IN THE HOME SHOULD HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE IN AND MAKE USE OF COMMUNITY ACTIVffiES AND RESOURCES AS WOULD NON- DISABLED PERSONS. OSAGE HOUSE PROVIDES A PROGRAM OF CARE WHICH IS DESIGNATED TO MEET THE RESIDENT'S PHYSICAL NEEDS, PROVIDE PROTECTION, GUIDANCE AND SUPERVISION, TO PROMOTE A SENSE OF SECURITY AND SELF-WORTH AND TO MEET INDIVIDUAL TRAINING NEEDS.
DAY SUPPORT $157,570 - PARC SERVICES DAY SUPPORT PROGRAM PROVIDES DAY SUPPORT SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES-AND SEVERE FUNCTIONAL DEFICITS THAT INTERFERE WITH THEIR ADJUSTMENT WITHIN THEIR HOMES AND COMMUNITIES. CONSUMERS IN THE DAY SUPPORT PROGRAM ARE CERTIFIED FOR MEDICAID WAIVER SERVICES DUE TO THEIR FUNCTIONING LEVEL AND RISK OF INSTITUTIONALIZATION. INDIVIDUALS ENROLLED IN THE DAY SUPPORT PROGRAM RECEIVE INDIVIDUALIZED ACIVITIES, SUPPORT, TRAINING AND SUPERVISION IN A VARIETY OF AREAS. TRAINING AREAS INCLUDE SELF-CARE OR PERSONAL HYGIENE, COMMUNITY SKILLS, RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, NUTRITION, HEALTH AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES, BASIC HOUSEKEEPING AND SOCIALIZATION. THE FOCUS OF THE PROGRAM IS ON INDIVIDUAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT, SOCIAL LEARNING, SUPPORT AND SUPERVISION. CONSUMERS IN THE DAY SUPPORT PROGRAM RECEIVE INDIVIDUALIZED TRAINING, SUPPORT AND SUPERVISION TO HELP THEM MAINTAIN OR INCREASE KNOWLEDGE IN THEIR PERFORMANCE OF TASKS, INCREASE BEHAVIORS THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF TASKS, INCREASE BEHAVIORS THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE IN THE COMMUNITY, AND ENHANCE THEIR QUALITY OF LIVES. PARC SERVICES DAY SUPPORT PROGRAM IS LOCATED ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE MAIN OFFICE LOCATION AT 114 NORTH UNION STREET, SUITE BIN PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA. VHDA $39,393- THE VHDA PROJECT IS THE RESIDENTIAL FACILILITY THAT HOUSES THE OSAGE PROGRAM.
SHELTERED EMPLOYMENT - THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO INCREASE KNOWLEDGE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK, IMPROVE WORK-RELATED BEHAVIORS, INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY, AND INCREASE INDEPENDENCE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL CHALLENGES. INDIVIDUALS EMPLOYED IN SHELTERED EMPLOYMENT RECEIVE TRAINING AND MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR WORK PERFORMED. PARC SERVICES HAS A SPECIAL WAGE HOUR CERTIFICATE FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, WHICH ALLOWS THE PROGRAM TO COMPENSATE EACH INDIVIDUAL BASED ON THEIR PRODUCTIVITY. PARC SERVICES ALSO OPERATES AN IMPRINTING SHOP THAT PROVIDES TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. THE SHOP PROVIDES AFFORDABLE QUALITY IMPRINTING AND PRINTING SERVICES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE IMPRINTING SHOP HOURS ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY- SAM- 2 PM.
