Organizations Filed Purposes:
To promote the trade and business interests of consulting engineers in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area.
The Consulting Engineers Council of Metropolitan Washington (CEC/MW) holds conferences, seminars, and networking luncheons, all of which serve to educate members and increase access to timely information from public and private agencies, and also provides a referral service and a voice to members both in the design profession and in the engineering communities. CEC/MW also has a government regulations program targeting business issues to legislators and regulators. Books, manuals, audio tapes, and other educational materials are available through CEC/MW. The Council also produces a newsletter, "The Exchange," that provides educational and informative articles regarding hot topics in the consulting engineering industry. CEC/MW's members include more than 100 engineering firms with, collectively, more than 2,300 customers.
